Who the hell is Jeff?

I'm a 23-year-old Software Engineering student currently living in Burlington, Vermont. I'm a fire performer, a licensed massage therapist, a certified bartender, and currently work at a day spa.

I grew up in a small conservative Christian town. Being gay, atheist, and outspoken about both, let's just say I didn't fit in. I was looking for an escape, when finally I heard the news. A hurricane was coming directly for us, gathering strength before it made its beautifully disastrous introduction. I was skeptical, of course. We had hurricane warnings multiple times a year. But this time it was different. This time, it was serious. Evacuations were mandatory, people were fleeing franticly, and the area I once called 'home' was quickly abandoned.

Two weeks passed, and we were finally able to return to what was left of our homes. During the evacuation and all the way back, I was hoping my house would be unlivable, just for the simple excuse of leaving the wretched area. Low and behold, the roof of my adjoining neighbor's apartment was ripped away, allowing rainfall to flood our apartments. I dug through the remains of my belongings, gathering what was salvageable. After gathering the essentials that I could use to start a new life, I bought a one-way plane ticket to Vermont.

So here I am, alive and well in a new environment. I live with three stellar roommates, and have a wonderful group of friends to accompany me.

Why the website?

Basically I needed a place to store source code / free software, gather advice from other programmers, host an online photo / video gallery, a blog, and a place to host my writings. Any source code you find on this site is for you to use at your disposal, and please feel free to comment and give suggestions as to how I can improve my programs.
